Meet Katie

Katie is a dedicated social worker, consultant, and educator specializing in adoption awareness and education. Her lived experience as a transracial/international adoptee fuels her passion to work with and support the adoption community, which she has been doing since 2006.

Since earning her MSW in 2011, Katie has built her career as a non-profit social worker, specializing in leading groups, facilitating speaker panels, case management, leading workshops and more. In 2019, Katie was an Angels in Adoption recipient from the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, nominated by the office of Congresswoman Barbara Lee.

In addition to her professional work, Katie is a dance instructor. She use her professional social work training to create safe, inclusive, and accessible spaces where people can find joy and confidence in movement. Katie believes in the power of creative outlets to allow for release, self-discovery and confidence.
